Silver Model of a Waterloo Cannon
This is a fantastic sterling silver scale model of a muzzle-loading 9 lb smooth bore Waterloo Cannon; with a limber attached to carry ammunition. It was made by our craftsmen entirely by hand, based on original drawings from the period.
The cannon was used at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, when the British and Prussians (under the Duke of Wellington and Marshal Gerhart Leberecht von Blucher) defeated the French (under Napoleon Bonaparte).
The gun length of the silver Waterloo cannon is 8 inches (20.5 cm) long.
This silver Waterloo Cannon model was made for a private client whose ancestor had fought at the Battle of Waterloo.
