18K Gold 'Ship's Telegraph' Cufflinks

A superb pair of 18 karat yellow gold swivel cufflinks -- in the form of a Ship's Telegraph. The surface dial is carefully hand-enamelled in black, white and red. And, yes, the gold lever DOES move round the side.

A wonderful gift for the yachtsman or sailor who THINKS he has everything!!  An Engine Order Telegraph (to give it its full name) was used on all ships to communicate orders from the Captain on the Bridge down to the Engine Room. The handle was turned to the required setting to notify the crew members of a change in speed.  This is a really innovative pair of gold cufflinks with tremendous detail.
